Exfoliation & Peels

Advanced Aesthetics offers a variety of peels from the lunchtime peel to a medium depth chemical peel. Consultations are available to determine which one is right for your skin’s needs. Below are just a few of the peels we have to offer.

Lunchtime Peel

A superficial peel that rejuvenates the skin, minimizes fine lines and pigmentary changes. Using Jessner’s solution, this mild peel can be performed in as little as 30 minutes. You can immediately go back to work and even apply Jane Iredale makeup to reduce any redness associated with the peel. There is no downtime with this peel and is ideal for sensitive, dry skin types, or even acne prone skin. See the benefit of a "lunchtime peel" with a series of treatments.

Illuminize Peel (Party Peel)

Tightens skin and improves clarity, color, and skin texture. With no downtime and minimal irritation, this SkinMedica exclusive peel provides the perfect amount of exfoliation and glow you need before any party or event! The “Party Peel” is great for bridal parties or just a refresher for dull skin. If performed in a series of treatments, the peel can help reduce pigmentation, fine lines, and poor texture.

Micro Peel

A combination treatment of Dermaplane procedure and Acid Peel. To safely remove, soft fine hairs on the face, while physically removing the dead skin. Followed by a "lunchtime peel" for a deeper level of exfoliation. This procedure is often used to prepare the skin before a facelift to increase the healing or recovery rate and reduce bruising.

Microdermabrasion

This uses corundum powder or crystals, and a vacuum suction action, to achieve facial skin rejuvenation. Improves dull, lifeless skin as well as reduces fine lines, scarring, and pigmentation problems. A series of five, single treatments is recommended for optimal results and then maintained once a month. For more information, click here.

Weekend Peel

A deeper peel that is great for more serious skin concerns, such as fine lines around the lips (peri-oral) and eyes (peri-ocular), acne scaring, or hyperpigmentation. This peel is derived from a TCA (Tricloracetic Acid) solution and applied in a controlled setting to promote patient comfort and effectiveness. Usually performed once a month for 3 months to achieve the best results. Downtime is usually a long weekend, 3 to 4 days and the treatment itself only takes about 30 minutes to perform.

Obagi® Blue Peel

This is a one-to four-step application of blue solution mixed with TCA (Tricloracetic Acid). This procedure is tailored to the nature of the problem to be corrected. Recovery time is seven to ten days. You can expect some moderate to severe peeling, redness and irritation that usually subsides in a few days. The peeling can last up to 7 to 10 days and you can remain photosensitive for up to six months post-procedure. A consultation is required to determine if this aggressive treatment is for you.

Medium Depth Peel

This is performed in the operating room usually as a secondary procedure.
